Can my identity be stolen with the information I had given already?

This is a SCAM!!! What they are wanting you to do is deposit the money order and then send them the rest back.Days later you will find that your bank account is overdrawn.Currently you have not given them enought info to take your idenity but if you cash or deposit that money order then you are screwed.Cut all communication with them,and throw away the money order.If you did this transaction through Craigslist,inform Craigslist so no one else gets scammed.
