What is the name of the sport popular in Florida that is played with 'scoops' in a court?

My fiance keeps talking about this sport - it's played in a raquetball type of court, with 'scoops' instead of raquets.... does this sport exist or am I getting bamboozled? If so, what's it called and is there a link to a site where I can learn more about it?
