Annoying ex boyfriend problem?

Okay so last year in 8th grade I got my first boyfriend. He was in 10th grade at the time. I'd only seen him once and I don't know how the hell I thought he was cute, but he called me and two weeks later we went to the movies where I broke up with him because he was being so rude and annoying (asked me to pay for both movie tickets!) But um how I'd only seen him once before that: He was so sweet and cool on the phone and one day we had a sorta ual convo on the phone. Well now I'm a freshman in high school and unfortunately he goes there. And everyday he acts all friendly towards me and says hi every freaking chance he gets! Also in the halls I hear him and his friends talking about me like "oh there goes sarah." And today as I boarded the bus he came up behind me and as though to taunt me shouted "SA-RAH!" I'm so scared he might still be thinking about that convo and what if he told his stupid friends? I want to get a normal b/f in high school and I feel he could get in the way of that. Should I talk to him and tell him not to tell anyone about it? At the same time I can't the thought of talking to him or the fact that I talked to that turtle in such a way! It's not just that he isn't cute his personatlity is terrible!
