Staying home Vs going back to work? What did you decide?

I also was a day care provider and nanny for many years before having our baby and after being in that world, I realized that there was NO WAY that I would want my son to be raised by day care providers and nannies. So, my hubby and I decided that we were gonna do whatever it took for me to stay home. This entails my hubby working two jobs (one full time, on part time) to make more cash, we don't go out to eat or movies (we have Netflix instead), I don't buy all the new clothes and other fashion items, we do most of our buying on craigslist, etc. Also, it means that we cannot afford to buy a house right now. In a few years, once my baby goes to school, then maybe we'll consider me going back to work. But, I would not give up these initial years with my baby for anything. There ARE ways of staying home and managing financially....it just requires A LOT of self sacrifice and some extra hard work and cutting off a lot of extras. I am always so happy to hear of other mothers who decided to stay home for their babies. Yay! YOUR BABY WILL APPRECIATE IT SOMEDAY!
