Do USA citizens Condone the Corruption running rife in their Country? Is US most Corrupt Country in the World?

Don't you know that the very nature of gaining power and influence is corrupting no matter where you go in the world. High ideals soon fall by the wayside when faced with stark choices of doing whats right for the party and whats right for the people. More often than not the party line and self interest wins over the needs of the people, lets just say that self preservation and lining ones own pockets is the name of the game in politics.. To that end i do not think the US is any more corrupt than anywhere else, in fact there are some places where corruption is the main stream way of life for those involved in politics.. some just see it has a perk of the job..
