What looks best in a corner between a sofa and loveseat...a plant, lamp w/table, hanging lamp etc. dah?

A round coffee table is in front of the two couches and a persian style rug is on the floor...I need ideas to separate the two couches...I have always had a an "L" shaped couch in the same area and now will have that blank spot...What's cool these days??/thanks.. I have a Tuscany style theme going on...im a real dork when it comes to decorating...I try soooo hard...my talents lie in other areas...lol
