Why not let the players vote on this new kickoff rule change?
They moved the kickoff up to the 35 yard line to increase the number of touchbacks because the competition committee says most injuries are occurring on kickoff returns. They said safety trumps excitement and competition of the game. Why don't they let the players vote on it since they are ones who are putting their lives at risk, not some ex-gm or owner or old bald guy. From what I heard most players oppose the new rule. Do they think the players are too dumb to understand the two sides of the issue? Why not bring in experts for both sides to present their cases and in the end the players can vote yes or no to the new rule change and majority wins.
